Marks and Spencer Money Cr Insurance is not available to everyone. Make sure that before you apply that you are not in breach of the folowing items.
The car you are insuring must be privately owned.
The following vehicles are excluded from the policy:
- Motorcycles
- Commercial vehicles
- Motor homes / Motor Caravans
- Vehicles with more than 8 seats
- Non-EU imports
- Cars without a valid UK registration number
- Cars with a Q registration
- Cars outside the UK or Northern Ireland
- Cars that are used for driving tuition, motor trade purposes, hire or reward, racing, rallies, “track days” or competitions

With Marks and Spencer's UK and European Breakdown Cover, if your vehicle can’t be repaired on the spot they’ll simply pay for your onward travel – via car hire or alternative transport – and any overnight accommodation you need as a result of the breakdown or accident.
Then, once you’re safely back on your way, your vehicle will be delivered home, or to a garage for repair. If this occurs while you’re on holiday abroad and have to leave your car behind while it’s being fixed, don’t worry. M&S will ensure that it is collected and delivered to your home when it’s ready.

Marks and Spencer Money are a members of the Financial Ombudsman Service. If you have complained to Marks and Spencer Money and they have been unable to resolve your complaint, for peace of mind, you may then be entitled to refer your issue to this independent body.
Marks and Spencer Money are also members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). If M&S Money are unable to meet their obligations you may be entitled to compensation from the scheme, depending on the type of insurance and circumstances of any claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, there is no upper limit. Further information about compensation schemes arrangements is available from the FSCS.
